With all the questions recently received in regards to the various tools on the Internet, Vik Duggal decides to create a 6-part series called “The Internet in 2009″. In Part I – The Make Up, he discusses the various types of people you will find on the Internet. The question he poses to you (please post in the comments) is, which type are you?

You bring up something very interesting…I never really analyzed or thought of the way people use the internet or what they actually do on the Internet, but your 6 have explained it pretty well.
I see myself as a few different types, creator (sometimes as I create content on my blog), collector (I like to gather information and share with people, whether it be a funny video or a ridiculous story about a woman who calls 911 because McDonalds is out of chicken mcnuggets – really!), joiners (I have joined many SN sites like twitter but I know I haven’t fully taken advantage of them yet), which is where the spectator comes into play (I see people, including yourself making incredible amount of updates during the day, talking about what kind of work they’re doing, projects, etc, or where they’re going for dinner, where as me, I have one simple post…making me a “wanna-be contributor” to the community of asking the simple question “what am i doing?”) I need to definitely get more active on this so I become a full-force creator on the internet. Not only creating content, but creating the curiosity in others to acknowledge what I am doing not only in my travel club business, but my personal life as well). I hope to narrow my types down as the days go by..but I got a lot of work to do before that happens!
Thanks for a great topic.
