I’m thankful for having those great people in my life who go out of their way just to make me smile or are there to lend an ear when I need to vent. I’m appreciative of those friends and family who remember a problem I’m having and care to help me solve it by giving great advice. It seems little, but they have no idea how much their support means to me and how much it really does help me.

And also, thank you Vik, for challenging us to think about the “little” things. Often times we get lost in the world, in ourselves really, and don’t stop to think about all those things that we take for granted.

Always pause to reflect on how good things are (Or depending on how poorly things are going, to remember it can always be worse). For me, so much of my life is lived offline that I am thankful to have a network of friends that understand me and a wife that puts up with my geekery and is even beginning to play along.

I’m thankful to have a brand-new house and that the Seahawks are going to beat the Gnats on Sunday!

Wow, you sound like me. I am very much an appreciative person of little things.

For me, I just spent my 1st time watching a movie online and I am fortunate that I had my Mom by my side. I am visiting her so it was special to share that moment together. We watched Eddie Murphy’s Raw which was a hilarious stand up routine that I had on cassette tape as a kid but now was the first time my mother really knew what I was listening too. I am glad she did not beat my butt back then when I was listening.

I am thankful too this past week that despite this economy going down that I am still employed. Also, I am so so thankful that I have this time in my life to still have both my parents with me when I know so many people dying.

Great video Vik…everything you said is on the money. It is truly amazing how we sometimes overlook even the smallest things in life. I just took the 30 seconds and appreciated that I am alive, in good health, with a loving family and great friends. Could anyone ask for more? A successful career is on the horizon to make me love life even more. As you know my life has been pretty hectic in the last week as far the career goes at WaMu, but I realize that it’s not the end of the world. I appreciate that I still have a job and am still able to walk on my two feet, and know that this is only the beginning for me. The future will bring amazing things, and I know it’s only going to get better from here, even though these obstacles come up every now and then…gotta jump over them and move on!

Did anyone ever tell you how inspiring you are bro? Just checking…:)

Great video Vik, it’s a wake up call to me to as I need to be more appreciative of my life and online projects. Also the fact just a few short months ago my mom who has already commented here (Gwen Sutton) didn’t know that much about blogging and social media and now look at her, she’s an unofficial “community leader” on Rejaw.com.

Plus I have a great wife and a lot of online friends who keep me motivated to continue to strive to reach higher in my career.

I’m thankful not only living in the country that we live in, but the Pacific Northwest. I couldn’t be any happier with the choices of my parents leading up to my birth that allowed me to grow up, and now make a living, and live here!

What you’re saying is that true happiness comes from being appreciative of what you already have!

Is this why it’s a fact that money doesn’t buy happiness? Once on the path to the acquisition of more and more and MORE stuff, you are doomed to never simply be content and smell the roses!

Hmm! Nice video and good topic! I’d say I’m happy to be at the point I’m at in my life where I’m happy with myself and working toward all that I ever wanted to do or be in life. I’m only 23, but you’d be surprised with what goes on in the average 23-year-old’s head. To be able to conquer all that stuff, which at times was excruciatingly difficult, is a blessing and indeed, I’m happy for any blessing along those lines!

And yeah, at this point, I’m learning to step back from the way I *used to be* and really enjoy the small niceties–the friend(s) I hadn’t talked to in years who suddenly resurfaced, being able to repay favors and make somebody else’s day, etc. That stuff is grand!
